Jules Taylor Wine
Sweet, ripe and delicious nectarine, a ripe orange acidity. Price and stockist is for the previous vintage at time of evaluation. We love speaking about our fabulous growers and their sensible wines. Each month, we share behind the scenes wine stories and you may be the primary to find out about all the latest presents. After years of winemaking and classic expertise worldwide and at various Marlborough cellars, Zoology graduate Jules Taylor launched her eponymous label with 200 circumstances in 2001. Jules left her corporate winemaking career behind to offer her the freedom to make wines the way she thinks they need to be made.
Taylor is not solely a sauvignon blanc specialist, she makes incredible pinot noir and chardonnay. In 2000, Jules was appointed winemaker at Kim Crawford’s Marlborough Winery and appreciation of her fashion of winemaking led to the model’s explosive international growth in the five years of the brand new century. Concurrently, Kim insisted that she make wine beneath her personal label, adamant that she be taught all elements of winemaking, from sourcing grapes, glass, labels and all the different particulars essential in establishing a model. The first vintage of Jules Taylor Wines was in 2001. Fashioned from grapes grown to some of France’s most exquisite winegrowing districts, Cuvée Veuve du Verney has been awarded many accolades and medals all through it’s illustrious historical past.
Mumm Marlborough Status Brut Nv 750ml
Subtle candy and tangy hints of yellow sherbet fizz are intriguing. The palate embraces concentrated tropical fruit flavours of passionfruit, pineapple and with tones of citrus, complimented with fresh lemon-grass. Juicy and dry, with nice acidity, the wine makes you salivate while the flavours linger. 2009 was apparently a incredible classic in Marlborough, so Jules had high quality components to work with.
Jules Taylor Sauvinon Blanc has a radiant gentle yellow hue, tinged with green and the dominant flavours are contemporary and natural layered over ripe tropical fruit & citrus notes. A fine line of acid ensures the flavours are focussed and results in a delicate yet persistent finish with underlying mineral tones. Refreshingly dry with a delicate, properly-roundedness and drinkability. Gushing with peaches, pears and a creamy mouthfeel. I would name this luscious, in each sense of the word.
